Scattered across Hollow Cedar are recordings people left behind: voicemails, dictaphone diaries, radio logs, a town meeting caught on tape. We'd like real people to voice them.

How it works
Four steps, about twenty minutes a part
Tell us about your voice
Roughly how old it sounds, your accent, how many parts you'd like. No experience needed.
Get your parts
We match you to characters that suit your voice. Each part is a handful of lines with the scene and direction for each one.
Record in your browser
One line at a time. Listen back, re-take as often as you like, keep the one you're happy with.
We review and credit you
Each part is recorded by two or three people and we pick one for the game. Everyone accepted is credited and gets the Voices role on our Discord.
Good to know
- You must be 18 or over.
- It's unpaid. You're credited in the game under the name you choose.
- Taking part puts you first in line when we cast our paid main-character roles. Your recordings are your audition.
- Your recordings are used only in Hollow Cedar and its trailers and marketing. We will never use your voice to train or clone an AI voice.
- A quiet room and a phone held about a hand's width from your mouth is enough. Soft furnishings help; kitchens and bathrooms don't.
- These are characters in a hard world. Some parts are emotional, and a few involve shouting. Tell us if you'd rather avoid those.
