Version 2026-10
Recording release
The plain-English version: you let us use your recordings in Hollow Cedar and its marketing, we credit you, and we never use your voice for AI.
1. Who this is between
You, and Sandcat Studios Ltd (company number 17355129, 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX), the maker of Hollow Cedar ("we").
2. What you grant
For each recording you submit through this site, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable licence to use, edit, process and reproduce it in Hollow Cedar (including updates, expansions and other editions) and in trailers, store pages, social media and other material promoting Hollow Cedar. Processing includes trimming, mixing with other audio and effects such as making it sound like a phone, radio or tape.
3. What you get
This is unpaid. If we use a recording of yours in the game, we credit you in the game's credits under the name you gave us, and you get the Voices role on our Discord. Being accepted or credited for one part doesn't oblige us to use any other. We may contact you about paid roles; being considered doesn't guarantee an offer.
4. No AI
We will not use your recordings to train, build or fine-tune any AI or voice-cloning model, or to create a synthetic copy of your voice, and we won't let anyone else do so.
5. Your promises
You're 18 or over, the voice on the recordings is yours, and nobody else (an agent, a union contract, an employer) has rights that would stop you agreeing to this.
6. Changing your mind
Until we accept a recording you can withdraw it: give the part back on your page or email us, and we'll delete it. Once a recording is accepted and built into the game, the licence can't be withdrawn, because we can't pull it out of copies people already have. You still keep the copyright in your performance.
7. Confidentiality
The lines are from an unreleased game. Please don't publish the script or your recordings before the game is out. Sharing that you've voiced a part is fine and very welcome.
8. Law
This release is governed by the law of England and Wales.
